Safety Talks at Your School

Firefighters around the world have one great thing in common with each other...the love of children. Children are the prize that comes from working in this business. Their smiles and those wide eyes that always light up their faces whenever they see a big red fire engine or meet a real firefighter are the reward our men and women who serve so bravely receive whenever there are kids around.
While we get the chance to see so many children, especially during Fire Prevention Month in October, there's no need to wait if you'd like to have our firefighters come to visit your school. We'll bring an engine or a rescue unit for a little "show-n-tell" about the many tools and equipment that firefighters use in their everyday duties. Plus, a firefighter will "bunker up" by putting on all of his protective gear, including the Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) so that the children will see and get used to what a firefighter will look like in the event that a child might experience a fire at home. We don't want any child to be afraid of a firefighter in an emergency situation and possibly run away and hide so that we can't find them. We want to make sure that every child gets out alive!
So give us a call if you'd like Boynton Beach Fire Rescue to visit your school. All that we ask is that you give us ample notice (at least 2 weeks) so that we can arrange our busy training and operations calendars to include our time with the kids!
